July was different this time.
It wasn’t the summer heat that exhausted me, but something far heavier—something that sat on my chest like a stone that refused to be lifted.

Didn't we once sing, "Palestine is my home, and the path to my victory"?

July 2025 was not just a point in time in As‑Suwayda, but a moment that left a deep mark on the memory of many of its people.

A year has passed since the July events in As-Suwayda, yet memory has not closed its pages.

I write these words today not to recount a story from the past, but to give voice to a pain and a pride that still pulse...

I, too, was displaced… And if I see things differently today, it is because I have lived them, not because I say them.

Some experiences words cannot carry, so they seek another language.
